3 intimate concerts on the same day for 8 people
The Bellevue String Quartet was founded in 2015 by four friends and colleagues, members of among others Concerto Copenhagen, Barokksolistene and Camerata Øresund, who began meeting regularly to drink coffee and play chamber music together, eventually developing and performing multi-faceted programs exploring the works of Shakespeare and Kierkegaard, with repertoire ranging from Purcell to Mozart on period instruments.
In this evening’s concert at Krinolin, music from Locke’s The Tempest is woven together with passages from Shakespeare, as we experience how Shakespeare uses music to create magic in his plays. Played, sung and spoken by the Bellevue String Quartet – Hannah Tibell, Alison Luthmers, Rastko Roknic and Judith-Maria Blomsterberg with special guest Fredrik Bock.
