Cancelled | Arve Henriksen with Jazz i Malmö

His trumpet and voice has redefined modern jazz for 20 years and counting

Due to the new restrictions this event is unfortunately cancelled.

The Norwegian trumpeter and vocalist who has been helping to redefine jazz and experimental music over his 20 year career performs in our Black Box.

Henriksen’s dozens of releases, both collaborative and solo, are found on revered labels such as ECM and Rune Grammofon. Bridging electronic music, ambient, and new composition, his unique brass tone was inspired by shakuhachi, the Japanese flute, and his singular voice is likewise hard to define or place. No wonder he’s collaborated with such luminaries such as David Sylvian, Burnt Friedman, and Imogen Heap, among others.

This performance is presented in collaboration with Jazz i Malmö with a special combination ticket at a discounted price for Angles 9 the following evening.
