Join us for an evening around the theme of Diversity and inclusion in the Games industry.

What is the role and the responsibility of video games in our coming future? Are we headed for a dystopian future or can we use video games to imagine or perhaps even to bring a better world?

KEYNOTE + PANEL + MINGLE

Game City Southern Sweden and Women in Games – South Sweden welcome you to join us for an evening around the theme of Diversity and inclusion in the Games industry.

Our special guest Brie Code starts the evening with her talk “The Late Game”. Afterwards she joins Jenny Nordenborg, Albertina Sparrhult and Anne Reid on a discussion panel curated by Women in Games – south Sweden and moderated by Ann-Sofie Sydow. More information about our participants below.

THE LATE GAME – The internet has changed our lives radically compared to our parents’ lives. We have new challenges: the wealth divide, global warming, automation, AI, access to relevant education, internet harassment, individually targeted propaganda, overstimulation.

Meanwhile, we are already living in alternate realities through our phones and laptops and soon will be immersed in a mix of physical reality/AR/VR. What does this mean for the role and the responsibility of video games in our coming future? Are we headed for a dystopian future or can we use video games to imagine or perhaps even to bring a better world?
