Cancelled | Lyra Pramuk + Civilistjävel!
Futuristic folk music, performed entirely with her voice + delicate but dirty sound scapes from the north
We are afraid Lyra Pramuk and Felicia Atkinson has cancelled their gigs due to the current restrictions. But! We have managed to get Civilistjävel! and Soho Rezanejad to play a night of their own, more info here.
Fusing classical training, pop sensibilities, performance practices and contemporary club culture to make a futurist folk music, the American operatically-trained vocalist and electronic musician is a collaborator of Holly Herndon, Colin Self, and Ben Frost.
Her critically-acclaimed album Fountain, released in spring this year, is created entirely from her own voice, although often shaped and structured by electronics, and is an emotional, sensual, and devotional journey. Playing with the perception of music, rhythms, speech, body, and the relation between technology and humanity, exploring a post-human, non-binary understanding of life and the fragile ecosystems it depends on.
