Okkyung Lee + Rasmus Alkestrand (Black Box Concert)
Does her name sound familiar? It could have something to do with the fact that she was one of the absolute highlights of the 2017 Intonal Festival edition.
Okkyung Lee – New York-based cellist who’s made a name for herself through her genre-bending body of work and an ability to push the boundaries of her instrument to its farthest limitations. Her impressive catalogue covers everything from noise and jazz to both Western and Korean classicism and popular music.
Does her name sound familiar? It could have something to do with the fact that she was one of the absolute highlights of the 2017 Intonal Festival edition.
She’s collaborated with experimental legends such as Laurie Anderson, Tim Hecker, Chris Corsano and Mark Fell and since her last visit, she’s released no less than six studio albums. Now she’s back to grace us once more – this time in our majestic Black box.
Rasmus Alkestrand – multi instrumentalist, synth geek and one of the founders of now defunct gallery and art magazine Little Finger. For this night, Rasmus will perform a specially comissioned set for us before this night’s main act.
