We can’t describe how happy we are to announce our headliner for this years spiritual concert series:

The Persian setar and kamancheh virtuoso who has birthed and taught a whole generation of musicians from Iran, Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Turkey and through the world.

The three-time Grammy-nominee and the biggest ambassador for classical Persian music – Kayhan Kalhor was born into an Iranian Kurdish family, he has performed internationally as a founding member of cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble and given solo recitals at Carnegie Hall.

Kayhan Kalhor and his long-time student and co-musician Kiya Tabassian will be headlining our Spiritual Concert Series 2021.

The evenings supporting act is the transnational and local musical trio – Cloud Atlas
The group creates sound collages and an atmospheric vibe where fragments from Arabic taqsim and improvisation meet parts from Nordic folk songs, Baroque and classical impressionism together with with polyometric rhythms.
