31/1–27/3
SOULlinedance – Maria Naidu
SOULlinedance is based on simple and repetitive steps, rhythmic, soulful movements in a choreographed sequence, performed to R&B, hip-hop, or classic soul music.
DATES: 31/1, 27/2, 27/3
DURATION: 90MIN.
LANGUAGE: NON VERBAL.
Unlike country line dance, SOULlinedance has a more fluid and expressive style that captures the feeling and groove of the music. The dance form is popular at social gatherings, parties, and dance clubs, offering a fun, energetic way to connect with the music and with other people. SOULlinedance releases endorphins, provides great exercise, and also strengthens your coordination, balance, and sense of rhythm.
SOULlinedance is accessible to everyone. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, how much you earn, how old or young you are, or whether you know the steps. There are no “right” or “wrong” ways to dance—just an endless variety of variations. If you miss a step the first time, you’ll always get a new chance when the sequence starts over and everyone faces the next “wall.”
You don’t need a partner to dance. You dance individually, but in harmony with others.
You dance when you want to, and as you feel, according to your ability. You simply step onto the dance floor and let the sense of community take care of you.
It’s a social outlet, a stress reliever, and above all, a lot of fun!
