Inkonst Club Night: HARUKA (JP) + Johanna Knutsson
Inkonst Club Nights – the nights dedicated to the sounds closest to our hearts – the emerging, the pushing of boundaries, the suggestive, the unhinged, the masters. You get it right? Special, special nights for special people.
HARUKA (JP)
Over the last decade, Tokyo-based DJ Haruka has emerged as a leading figure in Japan’s dance music scene.
A longtime resident and co-organizer of the legendary Future Terror party, Haruka’s reputation within Japan has led to success overseas as well, regular bookings across Asia, and sets at European staples. In addition to providing mixes to various music media outlets to show his sophisticated techno selection, Haruka also launched a label Protection to explore the margins between the dance floor and contemporary music. At parties such as Future Terror, which he organizes in Japan, he continues to contribute to the community by providing a space where people can gather and share unique musical experiences.
JOHANNA KNUTSSON
Present and organic. Two defining words describing what kind of artist Johanna Knutsson is. It is almost like she can pick up on invisible vibrations; she sources inspiration wherever she goes, whether she is physically traveling or letting a painting or a piece of poetry transport her mind elsewhere. With a catalogue of lush, explorative compositions and multi-genre spanning expertise, Knutsson’s sets are full of kinetic energy and unexpected detours that create singular, enveloping musical moments. Knutsson’s range as a performer is centered around her ability to deliver emotionally stirring music in multiple contexts.
