22–25/1
RaveHeart – InSite

RaveHeart extends beyond subjective boundaries and tells a story that arises between the room and the bodies that move there. A story that is exclusive to the moment and yet ancient, retold throughout history and for all time.

ON STAGE:
22/1, 23/1 – 21.00
24/1 – 20.00.
DURATION: 60 MIN
LANGUAGE: ENG

RaveHeart is a construction of the subconscious and a deconstruction of the rave. All you have to do is dance. But we also ask you to dress in black.

With the subcultural expression of rave culture and Carl Jung’s theories about archetypes and the collective unconscious as a starting point, we’ve explored the experience of community connected to the physical effects of sound in a collective movability. The process has led to an interactive and spatial performance installation that we’d like to share with you.

BIO:

InSite curates experimental, immersive, participant-based, and site-specific experiences at the intersection of storytelling, visual art, technology, and theater. InSite’s method is based on creating and assembling site-specific experiences with a focus on the participants’ co-creation and their sense of being enveloped in an artistically immersive whole. From these artistic core components, we challenge traditional ideas of who makes theater and how theater is made. InSite is run by Amanda Monceau, Emmy Högström Tagesson, and Ilkka Häikiö.
