Imagine a rope.
Your rope.
How does it feel around your wrists?
Can you feel your pulse under the tension of the rope?
Imagine the rope in knots around your body.
To evolve, you must first stop moving.
Kokong is an immersive and participant-driven performing arts experience that examines the physical and emotional landscape of trust.
Through close proximity you will be part of an experience that weaves together body and technology, participant and performer, flesh and emotion. As bodily data alters the aesthetics of each show, Kokong embodies the intimate process of internal change through external bonds.
By making the mechanics of connection visible and sensorial, Kokong asks you to explore vulnerability, communication and boundaries through rope art, movement and music.
Within this shared narrative you are both sculptor and material, both artist and audience.
