Inkonst was founded in 1998 and is located in the old chocolate factory Mazetti in Malmö since 2006, close to Möllevångstorget and Triangeln train station. We have three stages: a blackbox and two regular stages, one smaller and one larger, with a total capacity of up to 600 guests. Within our walls there’s room for everything from earsplitting music and mind-bending performances to melodic evenings and improvised plays.

We are passionate about interdisciplinary art and encourage experimentation. Our goal is to provide a safe space for artists to let people encounter their art, no matter how atypical it is. We strive for a balance between young, emerging voices, established artists from both local and international scenes, and the legends who shaped the music we care about today

Another important part of Inkonst’s work is advocating for cultural issues, both locally and internationally. We aim to make a difference, both by ongoing collaborations with like-minded organizations and by influencing politicians and authorities.

We want everyone to feel welcome to experiences unlike anything they’ve encountered before. And by doing so we hope to inspire more people to dare step out of their comfort zone and to promote free expression, equality, and a cultural field driven by curiosity and care.
