Arno Ferrera

Arno Ferrera develops an artistic language grounded in support, transformation, and intimacy. Through his performances and research, he opens up spaces for tactile encounters that invite surrender and trust in others, thereby transforming one’s perception of self. He graduated in Physical Theatre from the Accademia Dimitri (CH), following ten years of gymnastics.

He chose Brussels as his base and, in 2015, joined the contemporary circus company Un loup pour l’homme — founded by Alexandre Fray and Frédéric Arsenault — taking part in the international tours of the performances Face Nord and Rare Birds.

Today, he shares the artistic direction of the company Heart Core (www.heartcore.be) with Belgian performer Gilles Polet. Their projects Cuir and Armour have been presented in more than 25 countries. Arno was invited by Matthieu Goeury to join Les Halles de Schaerbeek (BE) as an associated artist and programming assistant for the period 2023–2027.

Alongside his performative work, Arno develops artistic projects aimed at creating spaces for tactile encounters in closed contexts, mainly in prison settings — where physical contact is often taboo.
