Estelle Quarino is a French-Swiss performer and visual artist based in Leipzig, Germany. “I work with the body as a site where emotion takes form. Not as something abstract or distant, but as a physical event: a tightening, a pulse, a heat, a shift in breath. In my practice, emotions are not only felt—they move, they shape, they press against the skin and ask to be seen.
I explore how emotional states can generate movement qualities and choreographic structures. How a gesture might emerge from tension, or how a rhythm might carry a trace of release. Each emotion suggests its own language—sometimes subtle, sometimes raw—guiding the body into specific textures, speeds, and forms.”
