Elias is a contemporary dancer whose practice treats the body as a language to communicate with oneself and others, as well as to remember that the body is valuable, capable, and in a constant ongoing process. Through movement, he explores the dialogue between his internal and external self, and poses the question: Where does identity begin and how is it shaped through activity, feeling, and presence. Elias's introduction to dance was through hip hop culture, which later expanded to contemporary, forming a movement vocabulary grounded in curiosity, musicality, and embodied sensitivity.
