Susanne and John have been making music together for years, performing as Xuri & John Cleworth. Susanne, also known as Xuri, approaches music like working with colour - building up sonic landscapes with an evocative, personal palette. John, being a drummer, brings intricate rhythms, spatial sound design and synthesis to the mix. Together they've toured Europe, Australia and Japan.
Outside of their duo work, Xuri has released music and performed for ambient and electronic labels and festivals across Europe. John works as a sound designer and composer with a background as a classical tonmeister.
On stage they bring both worlds together in an audiovisual show - Xuri's background in graphic design and John's classical training feeding into an exploration of how image and sound shape each other's meaning.
