Bitchin Bajas is a Chicago-based instrumental ambient and electronic trio formed in 2010. Originally a solo side project by Cooper Crain of the psych-rock band Cave, it expanded to include Dan Quinlivan and Rob Frye. Known for hypnotic drones and krautrock-inspired minimalism, they have released over a dozen albums.
Origins and Evolution
Started in 2010 by Cooper Crain (guitarist/organist for Cave) as a low-key solo venture focused on textural and ambient analog exploration.
Expanded into a duo and then a trio with the additions of Dan Quinlivan (of Mahjongg on synths/guitars) and Rob Frye (of Cave on woodwinds/guitars).
