QUEERILAINEN – Eva Svaneblom x DJ Saunasatan
Wood shed-flirting. Snowmobile-intimacy. Shining in work clothes. Concrete slow dancing. Glam up my fleece jacket. Moose hunting untz untz.

Eva Svaneblom is a dance artist from Tornedalen, based in Tromsø, Norway since 2020:
“My artistic practice revolves around the situated body – how the body is shaped in the encounter with its physical and socio-cultural surroundings. I often work on playing with and reshaping stereotypes, where my Tornedalen background meets my queer identity. In these fields of tension, new attitudes and expressions arise that inspire and drive my creation forward. Aesthetics is a central part of my work, both in choreography and performance and in the visual elements such as costume and set design. I often use popular cultural references and seek expressions that can speak to many. A common thread in my practice is collectivity and community – I explore how art can create shared spaces and an understanding of different experiences.”
Has a master’s degree in Contemporary Performative Arts from the University of Gothenburg (2020) and dance education from the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich (2010).
